Dr. Joseph D. W. Stephens is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at North Carolina A&T State University.He earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 and joined the faculty of NC A&T in 2008. His primary research focus investigates the perceptual mechanisms by which humans integrate auditory and visual information in speech perception, and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health. Dr Stephens regularly teaches courses on Memory & Cognition, Sensation & Perception, and Statistics.
